TactiClash is a technical demonstration and study centered on the core mechanics of turn-based tactical games. Conceived as an experimental AI-guided project, it highlights the synergy between high-level software architecture and rapid prototyping.

On floating procedural islands, you command your hero (Fighter, Mage, or Cleric) across endless glades, defeating enemies by mastering positioning, height advantage, and environmental hazards.

Key Technical Pillars

  • Z-Aware Isometric Engine: A custom grid system that handles multi-level elevation, depth sorting, and precise 3D-to-2D mouse picking.
  • Utility-Based AI: Enemies actively evaluate the battlefield, seek high ground, avoid hazards, and attempt to push the player into the void.
  • Procedural Island Generation: Each run delivers a unique map with diverse biomes, obstacles, and elevations, scaling in difficulty as you progress.
  • Z-Axis Pathfinding: Intelligent navigation that understands verticality. Characters can only climb or descend logical heights.
  • Dynamic Game Feel (Juice): Screenshake, hit-stop, and particle effects integrated with a dynamic audio engine for maximum impact.
